2015 NCSFA Florist of the Year and More
Here at Always & Forever Florist, we are so happy to have received the Florist of the Year award which was presented at this year’s NCSFA convention in Greensboro. This is an annual award given to florists that show growth and exude unmitigated support for their community. Again, we are very proud for this award.
This years North Carolina State Florists Association’s annual convention was held again at the fabulous Embassy Suites Hotel in Greensboro. The theme of this year’s convention was “Passport to a World of Design — See, Explore, Rejuvenate” Every year designers from all across the state meet up to test their skills in floral design competitions. Everyone who compete have fun, learn from others, and enjoy the comraderie of competition. Participating florists are able to mingle with a lot of their respective wholesalers to discuss coming trends in the floral industry. On that note, we would like to pay a special thanks to Lihmil Wholesale of Kernersville, Hardins Wholesale of Liberty, NC, Curtis Flower Farms of Liberty, NC, and the Cleveland Plant and Flower Company of Raleigh for their floral product donations. Without them, there would be no convention.
The President’s Dinner was held Sunday evening in the Embassy Suites main convention hall. We accepted the responsibility for handling the dinner decorations. Steven, our main wedding designer played a huge part in the overall theme and floral direction. Great job Steven and all the gracious volunteers that helped with the set-up. (Jennifer Childress, Tamela Eldridge, Doug Odom, Sarah Allen, Janet Blackard, and Susie Gordon, Carrie Linville, Scott Jackson, Sharita Walker, Robert Hugg, Cindy Tole, and Derek Wood) If we missed anyone, let us know and we’ll happily add your name to this list.
On a very sad note, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family of Joe Davoli. I am proud to have called Joe my friend and I’m sure that friends alike will deeply miss his terrific joviality.
Below you’ll find some fabulous photographs that we had taken of miscellaneous arrangements, ballroom decorations, etc. Please SHARE on your Facebook page. Use the comments below to tell us which photograph is your favorite.
