Accepting a Challenge and overcoming it

When working with new brides on a weekly basis, there will always be challenges thrown our way.  Unorthodox color combinations, trends and style focus, can we get a particular flower (out of season), etc. One in particular is getting the bride to focus on what she envisions and to put aside all the Pinterest and other social media images.  One or two pictures that you might like on these social constructs is fine.  But if you gather and gather tons of different schemes and patterns, you’ll just confuse yourself.  Choose your envisioned color scheme and go with it.  Get rid of all the rest.

This weekend, our Bride (Paris) immediately threw me a challenge by presenting me with the color swatches of her dresses.  The color pallette ranged from a light taupe to a marine blue with hues of gray, lavender, and pink.  We needed to bring all these colors together to successfully attain her vision of a vintage vineyard.

We featured a vast variety of flowers and textures in soft hues that blended perfectly with her attendants’ gowns.  Bouquets featured blue thistle, grey dusty miller, amnesia roses, ocean song roses, quicksand roses, white majolica spray roses, blush pink mini callas, while adding a touch of white hypericum berries.

As you take a few moments to view some of the pictures below, I hope you’ll agree that we were able to overcome this Bride’s challenge.  Hope you enjoy!
