Burlap and Lace
. . . IS IT REAL?
IT’S STILL JUNE ….. and this past weekend we had the honor of helping Britney and Brandon turn their rustic filled wedding visions into a reality. Lace, burlap and mason jars with wood slabs combined to give them the look that they had described all throughout the planning process and interviews.
This wedding was refreshing as it gave us the opportunity to design arrangements with permanent botanicals (silk). Britney chose to use permanent botanicals because she wanted to be able to keep the bouquets to remind them of their amazing wedding held at the beautiful Bella Collina Mansion … and we can’t forget about the Groom and his groomsmen. The Groom, being an avid hunter chose to customize the bouttonieres for his guys. I suggested shotgun shells and both the Bride and Groom loved the idea. To coordinate with the entire theme, we accented the shells with permanent white roses with chocolate hypericum. The list of permenent botanicals used for this wedding included chocolate lillies and hypericum berries with cream roses. Queen Anne’s lace, white apple blossom, cream marigolds with teal gerber daisies balanced out the selections.
Other amazing vendors joining us with this wedding included Justin & Beth of Nixon Photography, Culinary Visions Catering, BakemeHappy Bakery of Madison, and last but not least, linens and rentals by Happy Rentz of Greensboro. Take a few moments to enjoy the pictures we were able to take along with 3 that were provided to us by Beth Nixon.
