GTPFA Monthly meeting

On Tuesday, November 4th (Election night), we were very pleased to be able to entertain the Greensboro Triad Professional Florist Association at our shop in Madison, NC.  The much touted organization that has florist members from all over the triad area holds a regular meeting once a month to discuss new design techniques and changing market strategies.  They usually feature well known designers, new and old, to give them the chance to show off some of their extravagant designs, again new and old.

The night’s featured designer was Scott Jackson, who is currently the 2014 local and state designer of the year.  I’d like to say that I’m very proud of Scott for his adept skill in taking something very cheap and simple and turning it into something beautiful and appropriate for whatever season it is.  I had a photographer to take a few shots of the joyous meeting and also to highlight some designs created by Scott.  I hope you enjoy some of the images below.

On just another note, I’d like to say that it always gives me great pleasure in hosting some of these events at my shop.  It gives us all a chance to laugh, learn, and mingle with peers in our great floral field.  If you’re a local florist and are interested in becoming a member of this fantastic organization, just give me a holler on my contact page on this site and I’ll hook you up with the appropriate member to get you joined.
