Rain, Rain, Go Away
Always a Backup . . .
IT’S RAINING OUTSIDE …..but we always have a backup in the mix for every Bella Collina wedding on our schedule. This past Friday evening was the perfect example of why you must include a backup plan in case of rain. And talk about rain, it did…. But you know that everyone says its good luck to have rain on your wedding day… in this case it truly was as you can see by the pictures; the setting for their indoor wedding was amazing.
I met Leslie, Alex and Daphne just a very short while ago, so we had to work fast. It was clear to me at the beginning they wanted a very classic and elegant look. That was achieved by using a pink palette of roses, spray roses, a touch of Queen Ann’s Lace, and white wax flower.
Our brides trust us and when we knew there was a 70% chance of rain on Friday afternoon and evening; Plan B’s design was commenced. Sometimes there is a window of opportunity that the rain will cease during ceremony time and therefore allowing the wedding to take place on the lawn of Bella Collina. We are always prepared to “flip” and this wedding was no exception.
Leslie’s roses included White Garden, Alabasters, Sophys, Sweet Unique, Eskimos, with white and pink Majolica spray roses. It was a beautiful and intimate wedding for a small group of relatives and friends. And helping out were other amazing vendors that included ALS Photography whom we can thank for the pics, One Love Productions, Anything Music DJs, Culinary Visions, and Bake Me Happy.
